Tea Bags: As an African breeze drifts across your imagination, bring fresh water to a boil and pour over a bag of Green Rooibos. Steep 5-6 minutes. For iced tea, steep 2 tea bags, cool and pour over ice.
From Numi’s beginnings in 1999, we have worked with the same small-scale South African farmers that grow our organic rooibos and honeybush.
Herbal teasans are herbs, fruits and flowers, not the tea plant, camellia sinensis. Rooibos is a thistle-like bush that grows in the Cederberg mountains of South Africa. Green rooibos is un-oxidized, fully dried and sifted of dust.
Rooibos Green Beans
2 cups water
2 tea bags Rooibos
4 cups green beans, cut into 1″ pieces
1/3 cup finely chopped onions
1 tbsp. olive oil
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
Preparation Time: 25 minutes
Bring water to a boil. Add tea bags and green beans. Cook until beans are a bit tender. Scoop green beans out and stir in a bowl with onions. Reserve Rooibos teasan and set aside. In a separate bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, 2 tbsp. of teasan, salt and pepper. Pour over salad and stir to coat. Makes 4 servings. In Good Health!
