organic Oolong Tea (100% - China - Camellia sinensis)
Loose Tea: Place loose leaf tea into strainer or tea sac (see quantity below). Bring fresh water to just under boiling (180° F). Pour water over tea and steep for 2-3 minutes. Remove leaves from brew & place aside. This oolong tea may be re-steeped two more times.
10 oz. teapot: 1 heaping teaspoon (3 grams)
16 oz. teapot: 2 teaspoons (5 grams)
20 oz. teapot: 1 tablespoon (6 grams)
Made from the bud and up to three large, broad leaves, oolong tea leaves are skillfully rolled and oxidized repeatedly and then heated to stop oxidation. Oolongs will be shaped into tightly rolled pellets, or loosely folded and dried.
